Mission
The aim of 'Ankan Arts Foundation' is to foster the spirit of alliance and collaboration between all the visual artists such as Painters, Sculptors, Photographers, Craftsmen and Architects through their various aesthetic activities. This process was started way back in 1982 through 'AAKAR BHARATI' (AABHA), Mumbai, India.
The foremost agenda of the foundation is to organize group exhibitions of the artists who can not arrange one man shows nationally nor globally, but do possess a talent worth of presentation. To elevate and publicize their profession is the philosophy that the institution was born with. With this proposal the foundation, has categories and sponsored the exhibitions of various eminent artists and art societies till this season. Public functions were arranged to facilitate them. The foundation, authentically considers its responsibility to educate the society by arranging lectures, demonstrations, illustrations, presentations and art shows with the help of experts, in their respective fields of artistry. The organization endeavors to stock its library with publications, books, magazines, works and brochures on art. This will be beneficial to academicians, scholars, researchers, apprentices, students, learners and trainees as well. To structure art camps are under study. If adequate mutual support is received in unborn years, it is useful to all. Today, the consortium is bustling to inaugurate its first art gallery at Juhu, Mumbai, India. The same shall report for the service to the nation on 9th December, 2008.
